How to Use The Cruise Tracker

This site was created with one simple goal: to help you find the best cruise deals and know the perfect time to book. However, it’s important to note that The Cruise Tracker is not a booking site. There is no way to book a cruise here. Instead, we provide the tools and information you need to track cruise prices and trends, empowering you to make informed decisions when you’re ready to book.

What The Cruise Tracker Does

Our platform focuses on cruises in the United States that depart from and return to the same port. We collect pricing data daily and monitor trends to help you see how cruise prices change over time. This allows you to:

  • Spot the lowest prices.
  • Determine when prices drop, spike, or stay stable.
  • Decide the best time to book your cruise for maximum savings.

The prices shown are per person for a double occupancy and include taxes and fees. They DO NOT INCLUDE gratuities, drink or wifi packages or any other extra options.

Once you find the deal that fits your budget and preferences, you can head to the cruise line’s official site or any booking platform you prefer to finalize your reservation.

Using The Cruise Tracker

Getting started is easy!

Filters

On the tracker page, you’ll find a variety of filters to customize your search. These include the following:

  • Sailing Month/Year – Pick the month(s) you wish to see the top 10 cheapest cruises
  • Cruise Line – Have a specific cruise line you’d like to track? Want to exclude any? Here’s your chance!
  • Ship – Choose your ship if you like a specific one
  • Destination – Trying to escape cold weather by heading to the Bahamas or the Caribbean? Select your destination here
  • Departing From – Select any departure port available
  • # of Nights – Looking for a quick 3 night cruise or are you interested in a longer voyage? This filter is a single selection only, meaning you can only view options one at a time.

Once you’ve made your selections the information will automatically adjust! Just make sure you click the Apply button at the bottom of the filter dropdown menu.

Understanding the Data

With your preferences selected, you can now see the top 5 cheapest cruises. If you didn’t select or exclude any cruise lines, you will most likely see 5 MSC cruises. That is because they typically have the cheapest rates. On the left you will see the Cruise line, ship name, number of nights, departure date, departure port and destination. The line graph shows how the prices have changed over time.

The section on the right has notes on the current price. You’ll see a color coordinated line titled “Today’s Price”. This indicates where the current price is in relation to the lowest price recorded. If it’s green, that indicates today could be a great time to book the cruise. If it’s yellow, it might still be a good purchase, but the current price is $35-$65 above the lowest price. If it’s red, we suggest waiting for a few days to see if it changes.

The other two lines display a range of the highest and lowest prices recorded. These are shown in a range. We are not allowed to show exact prices.

Here is how the ranges are defined:

  • Low $300’s, $400’s etc. – The tracked price is between $XX0-$X35
  • Mid $300’s, $400’s etc. – The tracked price is between $X36-$X65
  • High $300’s, $400’s etc. – The tracked price is between $X66-$X99

When you combine the information displayed, you should be able to determine if the cruise you are looking at is actually a good deal. If you have discovered a good deal, head to the cruise line’s site or to an agency site and look for that specific cruise.
