Cruise Price Tracker: See What a Cruise Really Costs Before You Book

We check every round-trip sailing from U.S. ports every morning and keep the history, so you can tell a real price drop from a “limited-time” sale. Prices are per person for two guests in an inside cabin, including taxes and fees.

Frequently asked questions

Are Black Friday cruise deals real?

Sometimes, but they’re rarely the lowest price. Only about 4 in 10 sailings we tracked were even 3% cheaper during Black Friday week than in early November (35% in 2024, 43% in 2025). Roughly 3 out of 4 sailings dropped at least 5% below their Black Friday price later on, and more than half dropped 15% or more. Black Friday can be a fine time to book, but it’s usually not the best one.

Do cruise prices drop closer to sailing?

Usually not in the final few months. Across nearly 12,000 sailings that have already departed, prices typically fell between one year and three months before departure: a median drop of about 13%. In the last three months they more often went up. 60% of sailings cost at least 5% more one to two weeks before departure than they did three months out. Last-minute deals do happen, but they’re the exception.

When is the best time to book a cruise?

It depends on the cruise line and route, and there’s rarely one magic week. Of the 8,691 sailings we tracked all the way to departure, 81% hit their lowest price of the final six months somewhere between 1 and 6 months before sailing. The two most common windows were 5–6 months out and 1–2 months out (about 22% each). Only about 1 in 10 hit their lowest price in the last two weeks. Every line behaves a little differently (see cruise prices by cruise line), and that’s exactly what I look at when I help clients book.

Why do you track inside cabins?

Inside cabins give an apples-to-apples price to compare across every cruise line and ship. Balconies and suites can move differently. If that’s what you’re after, I’m happy to check a specific cabin for you.

How often are prices updated?

Every morning. Each card shows how long we’ve been tracking that sailing and the lowest price we’ve seen for it.
